IMPLEMENTATION OF ELECTRONIC TRAVEL AUTHORIZATION(eTA)
The Government of Kenya implemented the Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) system in Kenya, in line with the Directive by H.E the President on Visa Free Regime and the Kenya Gazette Supplement No.1 of January 2, 2024, on Kenya Citizenship and Immigration.
New Digital Portal: https://www.etakenya.go.ke
The new digital portal has been launched, http://www.etakenya.go.ke, to facilitate the seamless identification of travelers to Kenya in advance. This portal replaces the previously operational www.evisa.go.ke platform, effective January 5, 2024.
WARNING ON FRAUDULENT ELECTRONIC TRAVEL AUTHORIZATION (eTA) APPLICATION WEBSITES
The Embassy of Republic of Kenya wishes to alert all potential Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) applicants to Kenya of the existence of scam site https://www.kenya-evisa-onlinevisa.com and https://www.kenyaonlinevisa.org. These sites which are designed in such a way that can be mistaken for the official Government of Kenya, Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) website.
This is therefore to encourage prospective Kenya Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) applicants to make their application through the official Government website; http://etakenya.go.ke
Note: the Government of Kenya will not be responsible for any loss of monies or extra charges occasioned through the use of the unofficial scam site.
