Authentication of Documents
The State Department for Foreign Affairs in Kenya legalizes/authenticates documents in Nairobi. However, your applications are forwarded through the Kenya Embassy Tel Aviv.
Requirements:
- Application Letter detailing the need for legalization, signed, and dated by the applicant. The application letter should clearly indicate in full – the telephone number, email address, residential address and/or postal address for any correspondences from the Mission. Note that it shall be your responsibility to immediately notify us in writing via; info@kenyaembassytelaviv.com of any changes to their residential / postal address to avoid inconveniences in delivery of services.
- Original and copy of each document to be legalized issued by a Government Authority.
- Copy of identity of the applicant.

Note: Any document in a language other than English MUST be translated and certified as a true translation by the issuing authority or representative Embassy.
Authentication/Verification of Kenya Driver’s License
Requirements
- Current valid original Kenyan driver’s license, and one photocopy. Renewals can be done online through http://www.ecitizen.go.ke if your license has expired.
- Formal letter of request.
- Copies of passport, ID card, Alien certificate or Refugee ID card.
NOTE:
For holders of the new generation Driver’s License (wallet size) please attach evidence of previous driving experience beyond what is shown on the license e.g. Renewal slips or copy of the old Driver’s License.
