ISSUANCE OF E-PASSPORTS AT KENYA EMBBASY TEL AVIV, ISRAEL.

Apply and pay for the E-Passport online through the e-citizen portal. The application forms are to be submitted in person at the Kenya Embassy Tel Aviv, Israel with an appointment. To make an appointment please email: info@kenyaembassytelaviv.com

APPLICATION AND ISSUANCE OF E-PASSPORTS PROCESS:

  • Create an account on e-citizen portalif you do not have one.
  • Recommender: This is a Kenyan who is not your relative who can certify that you are a Kenyan citizen.
  • RNumber: this is found on the biodata page of your passport (page with your photo and other information like place of birth etc.) under “Personal Number”. The Number after the Zeros or on page 29/30 of a 32-page passport or page 45 of a 48-page passport.
  • You may apply for a new passport 6 months before it expires.
  • Applications for passports should be duly filled out.
  • After completion, sign the application.
  • For name change the acceptable documents are two certified copies of: Deed poll issued in Kenya, Marriage Certificate and Divorce Decree.
  • All e-citizen inquiries should be directed to e-citizen at email support@ecitizen.go.ke +254780806206
  • All minors must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.
  • The birth certificate number appears on the left side of the birth certificate (above the date of birth) and not the top right side (the serial number).
  • Part of the application process involves scanning of your documents. When uploading your documents make sure they are in picture format (.jpeg or .png) and not in document format (.pdf, .rft, .docx or .doc)
  • Persons who were born before 27th August 1987 and acquired Citizenship of Other Countries before 27th August 2010 will be required to provide proof of having regained Kenyan Citizenship (Article 14(5) of the Constitution of Kenya)

Passport Renewal Requirements to be Submitted in Person at The Embassy with an Appointment

Please Note that the processing time is 4-6 weeks;

  1. One copy of Form 19. Print out the application form filled out online at e-citizen portal
  2. Original passport
  3. Original Kenyan ID card
  4. One copy of Kenyan passport (bio data page only)
  5. Two passport size photos
  6. One copy of your Kenyan birth certificate both sides
  7. One copy of Kenyan ID Card (2nd generation)
  8. One payment invoice from ecitizen portal
  9. If you hold any foreign passport, or are a citizen of another country, please Click hereto check if you need to declare or regain Kenyan citizenship and act accordingly.
  10. Attach documentary proof of Regain/Declaration of Kenya citizenship (dual citizen only)
  11. Documentary evidence of residence in Israel e.g. (Permanent Residence, Work Permit, Student Authorization etc.)
  12. Complete and sign parental consent form for children under 18 years of age Click hereto download.

Passport Requirements for Children (First Time Applicants) Born Abroad to Kenyan Parent(s).

Please Note that the processing time is 4-6 weeks;

  1. Form 19. Print out the application form filled out online at e-citizen portal
  2. One copy of parent(s) Kenyan passport (biodata page only)
  3. One payment invoice from ecitizen portal
  4. One copy of child’s Kenyan Birth Certificate (if born outside Kenya apply for Kenyan Born Abroad Birth Certificate)
  5. Two passport sized-photographs (size 2.5″x 2″).
  6. One complete and signed parental consent forms for children under 18 years of age Click hereto download.
  7. Documentary evidence of residence in Israel e.g. (Permanent Residence, Work Permit, Student Authorization etc.)
  8. Additional documentary proof of Kenya citizenship may be required.

To be submitted in person at The Embassy with an appointment.

Passport Requirements for First Time (new) Applicants

Please Note that the processing time is 4-6 weeks;

  1. Form 19. Print out the application form filled out online at e-citizen portal
  2. Original Kenyan ID card
  3. One copy of Kenyan ID Card (2nd generation)
  4. One payment invoice from ecitizen portal
  5. One copy of parent(s) Kenyan passport (biodata page only)
  6. One colour copy of parent(s) second generation Kenyan ID
  7. One copy of Birth Certificate (if born outside Kenya apply for Kenyan Born Abroad Birth Certificate). If previously endorsed on parents’ passport attach copy of the endorsement.
  8. Two passport sized-photographs (size 2.5″x 2″).
  9. Documentary evidence of residence in Israel e.g. (Permanent Residence, Work Permit, Student Authorization etc.)
  10. Additional documentary proof of Kenya citizenship may be required.

To be submitted in person at The Embassy with an appointment.

Requirements for Lost or Mutilated Passport

Please Note that the processing time is 4-6 weeks;

  1. Form 19. Print out the application form filled out online at e-citizen portal
  2. Original Kenyan ID card
  3. One copy of a lost passport form (1) Click hereto download
  4. One copy of Police Report in case of a lost passport
  5. One copy of Sworn Affidavit done before a Commissioner for Oaths declaring the passport is lost or mutilated
  6. An application letter comprehensively explaining when, where and the circumstances under which the passport got lost or mutilated
  7. Original passport for mutilated cases
  8. One payment invoice from e-citizen portal
  9. One copy of Kenyan passport (bio data page only)
  10. Two passport size photos
  11. One copy of your Kenyan birth certificate both sides
  12. One copy of Kenyan ID Card (2nd generation)
  13. If you hold any foreign passport Click hereto check if you need to declare or regain Kenyan citizenship and act accordingly.

PASSPORT PHOTO CRITERIA:

  • Be clear photos – they should not be blurred nor have a dark hue. All facial features should be clearly outlined
  • Have a full face and both ears showing
  • Be taken against a white background
  • Be without shadows in the background
  • No smiling or laughing
  • Be taken without spectacles
  • Size of photos should be 2.5 x 2 inches (two and a half by two inches)
  • Weaves or hair should not cover the forehead or the rest of the face
  • Decent photos
  • Attach at least 3 photos
